1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which the Android application SPENDY collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users worldwide. SPENDY is developed and operated by Rishabh Singh.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using SPENDY, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use the application.

2. Zero Server-Side Data Collection

We do not operate external developer servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure to collect, store, or monitor your personal or financial records:

• No Developer Data Collection: We do not collect, view, transmit, or store your transaction details, expense entries, or personal information on any private or company server.
  
  
• On-Device Processing: All entries, category inputs, and financial balances remain strictly on your local Android device.
  
  
• Device Diagnostics: Standard non-identifying technical data (such as OS version and crash reports) may be processed locally or via Google Play services strictly to ensure app stability.
  
  
• Advertising Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (GAID) is processed directly by Google AdMob according to your device consent settings.
  
  

3. How Data Is Used

Because SPENDY does not collect or centralize user data on external servers, information handling is restricted entirely to local functionality:

• Report and Summary Generation: All expense summaries, chart visualizations, and budget balances are computed locally on your device.
  
  
• Local Exports: File exports are generated directly on your smartphone for your personal use.
  
  
• Zero Data Commercialization: We do not sell, rent, lease, monetize, or broker any personal or financial records to third parties.
  
  

4. Cloud Backup via Google Drive and Google Sheets

• User-Controlled Backups: SPENDY provides optional integration allowing you to back up and sync your expense records directly to your personal Google Drive or export them into your personal Google Sheets.
  
  
• Direct-to-Google Storage: When enabled, data transfers directly between your Android device and your authenticated Google account over secure, encrypted HTTPS protocols.
  
  
• No Intermediary Access: The developer has zero access to your Google account credentials, Google Drive backup files, or Google Sheets spreadsheets. Your backups remain entirely within your private Google workspace.
  
  
• Biometric App Lock: SPENDY integrates Android native BiometricPrompt (fingerprint or face unlock) to protect local app access. Biometric data is handled entirely by the Android system hardware and is never accessed or stored by SPENDY.
  
  

5. AdMob Advertisements

SPENDY displays advertisements powered by Google AdMob to support continuous development:

• Data Handled by Google AdMob: Google AdMob may process device identifiers, approximate location, and app performance analytics to deliver non-personalized or personalized advertisements depending on user consent.
  
  
• User Controls: You can manage, limit, or reset your advertising preferences at any time via your Android settings:
  Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
  
  
• Third-Party Policies: Google's data practices are governed independently under Google's Privacy and Terms documentation.
  
  

6. Global Privacy Compliance and User Rights

This policy applies to users globally, including protections under GDPR, CCPA, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act:

• Complete Ownership: Because your data resides solely on your device and inside your personal Google Drive or Google Sheets, you retain absolute ownership and control over your records at all times.
  
  
• Data Deletion: Clearing the app's cache/storage or uninstalling SPENDY permanently removes all local data from your phone. You can remove synced files directly from your personal Google Drive or Sheets anytime.
  
  
• Opt-Out Controls: Personalized advertising can be managed directly through Android OS settings.
  
  

7. Children's Privacy

SPENDY does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because we do not collect personal data on external servers, no child data is ever stored by us.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy when necessary. When modified:

• The "Last Updated" date at the top will be updated.
  
  
• Updates will be documented in release notes or within app updates on Google Play.
  
  
• Continued use of SPENDY confirms your acceptance of any revisions.
